Privacy Policy for Cadenza
Last Updated: July 12, 2026
Who we are
Cadenza is an AI-powered service that generates branded Instagram content — carousel images, captions, and hashtags — for small businesses. It is a subscription product; payment is required before use.
Cadenza is operated by Medhansh Malhotra, an individual based in New Delhi, India. In this policy, “Cadenza,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to that operator. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. If you have any questions, email us at support@cadenza.so.
Information we collect
We collect the following, and only to run the service:
- Account information. Your name and email address, and — if you sign in with Google — the basic profile your Google account shares. This is handled by our authentication provider, Clerk.
- Business and brand information. What you tell us about your business so we can generate content: business name, website URL (optional), business description, industry, services, target audience, brand-voice choices, and any content samples you submit.
- Website analysis. When you give us a website URL, we fetch and analyze the public content of that site (via Firecrawl) to build your brand profile.
- Payment information. Your subscription is processed by Polar.sh, our merchant of record. Polar handles your card details, invoicing, and tax. We never see or store your full card number. We receive limited billing metadata (such as your plan, status, and renewal dates) to manage your subscription.
- Usage and analytics. Basic information about how you use the site and app — pages viewed, features used, device and browser type, and similar — collected through the analytics tools listed below.
- Support communications. If you email us or chat with us, we keep those messages so we can help you and keep a record of the conversation.
How we use your information
We use the information above to:
- generate your branded content and run the core service;
- create and maintain your account and brand profile;
- process your subscription and payments;
- provide customer support and respond to your requests;
- understand how the product is used so we can fix problems and improve it;
- send you service-related email (for example, account, billing, and content notifications);
- keep the service secure and comply with the law.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with anyone except the service providers listed below, who process it on our behalf to deliver the service.
AI processing
Cadenza generates content using third-party AI providers. To do this, your brand information and the prompts we build from it are sent to those providers, which process the data solely to return the generated content:
- Anthropic (Claude), accessed via OpenRouter — generates text such as captions, hashtags, and brand analysis.
- fal.ai — generates the images in your content.
These providers process your data to deliver the service; we do not use it to train our own models.
Service providers
We rely on the following providers to run Cadenza. Each one only receives the data it needs for its purpose:
- Clerk — authentication and account management.
- Polar.sh — payment processing, subscriptions, invoicing, and tax (merchant of record). Cadenza never stores your card details.
- Railway — application hosting and database.
- Cloudflare R2 — private storage for your generated images, served through expiring signed URLs.
- Firecrawl — fetches and analyzes your public website to build your brand profile.
- OpenRouter and Anthropic (Claude) — AI text generation.
- fal.ai — AI image generation.
- Resend — transactional email.
- Google Workspace — our business email, used for support correspondence.
- DataFast — privacy-friendly, cookieless web analytics.
- PostHog — product analytics, session replay, and error tracking. Session replay may capture your in-app interactions; sensitive inputs are masked where supported.
- Crisp — support chat, when enabled.
Cookies and analytics
We use strictly-necessary cookies for authentication and keeping you signed in (through Clerk). For analytics, DataFast is cookieless, and PostHog may use cookies or local storage for product analytics. We do not use advertising cookies.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you want your account and associated data deleted, email us at support@cadenza.so and we will delete it. There is currently no self-service delete button in the app — the email request is the way to do it, and we handle it for you.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data by emailing support@cadenza.so. We honor GDPR- and CCPA-style rights on request, wherever you live. We will not charge you for exercising these rights or treat you differently for doing so.
International transfers
Cadenza and the providers above operate globally, so your data may be processed in the United States, the European Union, and Asia. Wherever it is processed, it stays covered by this policy.
Children
Cadenza is a business tool intended for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us personal data, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last Updated” date above, and for significant changes we will give you reasonable notice.
